Sports Hotel in the Bavarian Forest

Discover the diverse landscape of the Bavarian Forest and experience the many recreational opportunities in our region together with your family. Hike through almost untouched nature and recharge your batteries. The hotel has been extensively renovated and each of our 138 rooms is individually and cosily furnished. Some of the hotel rooms also have a balcony or terrace with a wonderful view of the idyllic landscape that surrounds the Hotel Ahornhof. Dogs are welcome for a fee of €15 per night, subject to prior notice. Your room is available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival, until 10 a.m. on the day of departure.

Superior Room

In the Superior category, all rooms are newly renovated or partially renovated. Some of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with a view of the garden or the Bavarian Forest. All rooms have a hairdryer, make-up mirror, flat-screen TV and free WLAN. An extra bed is possible.

Country house room

In the Landhaus category we offer single rooms and double rooms, some with balcony or terrace and a view of the garden or the Bavarian Forest. Most rooms have neewly renovated floors. All rooms have a hairdryer, make-up mirror, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

Family Room

Families have the option of booking a larger family accomodation. There is two categories. The bigger family rooms offer space for up to 4 people, the normal family rooms have space for 3 people.

The rooms have a balcony or terrace and some of them are newly renovated. All rooms have a hairdryer, make-up mirror, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

Classic room

In the classic category we offer single and double rooms. The rooms have a sloping ceiling and have no balcony. The single rooms of this category only have a single bed. All rooms have a hairdryer, make-up mirror, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

Riesberghof

Further room categories at particularly attractive prices can be found in our partner hotel Riesberghof, just a few minutes’ walk from the Hotel Ahornhof, also in Lindberg. All rooms at the Hotel Riesberghof have a small kitchenette and are very spacious. Guests of the Hotel Riesberghof may also use the spa & wellness area of the Hotel Ahornhof. For further information, please contact the central booking office or visit the website.

*Guests of the Riesberghof are welcome to use the wellness area including the swimming pools at the Hotel Ahornhof for a fee of € 5,- per person/day.

Die Geschichte des Karners

Ein Gasthof mit Historie…

Das Anwesen, an der Salzstrasse von Berchtesgaden nach Augsburg gelegen, mit dem früheren Hofnamen „Bäck“, besteht seit mehr als 550 Jahren. 1460 erscheint das Anwesen als „Hof zu Westerndorf“ erstmals in den Urkunden. Es handelte sich seit jeher um einen stattlichen Bauernhof sowie um eine Bäckerei und Gastwirtschaft, zeitweise war auch eine Mühle angeschlossen. Im letzten Jahrhundert wandelte sich der „Bäck“ allmählich zur reinen „Gast-Wirtschaft“. Erste Nachweise hierüber finden sich in Brauereirechnungen von 1576…
